Progress Foundation provides its services to you subject to the following conditions. When you visit the Progress Foundation website, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully, including the Privacy Statement below.

Electronic Communications

When you send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically, and you consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will not rent, sell or share your email address for any use other than the purpose of notifying you of an upcoming Progress Foundation event. If you use any outbound email link or form facility provided by this site, you do so with the understanding that there is No Guarantee of Service, as this service is provided only as a convenience for site visitors. You agree not to use this service in a way that: is harmful to us, to any member of Progress Foundation, or to any email recipient; impairs our ability to do business in any way; modifies or reroutes the service; automatically accesses or uses the service or the information within it; or interferes with anyone’s use or enjoyment of the service.

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for progressfoundation.org. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Progress Foundation uses your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgements, and mail year-end donation receipts to you. We do not use a mailing list of any kind. We do not list individuals’ names in any of our publications. But, donations over 2% of our entire budget must be reported on IRS Form 990, Schedule B.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future regarding your original request, donation, or changes to this privacy policy. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of Progress Foundation and only to further our mission.

We use “cookies” on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of the State of California, California Civil Code section 1798.83 entitles residents of California to request information about the third parties with whom Progress Foundation has shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year and if those third parties ever used such information for direct marketing purposes. California residents may submit one request per calendar year in the form of a report that details: (a) what type of information Progress Foundation shared, (b) with whom Progress Foundation shared such information and (c) the nature of the third party business.

California residents may submit their request by scrolling to the Section entitled “Contact.”

Regarding Client Information

The agency follows the federal Department of Health and Human Services HIPAA guidelines, State confidentiality laws and County Privacy policies concerning client information. A copy of the agency’s HIPAA Policy and Procedure can be obtained by emailing info@progressfoundation.org.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and Progress Foundation is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures.
